Est. 2011 — Inland Northwest
We broker eleven off-grid hideaways — eight cabins, a decommissioned fire lookout, and two converted shacks. Wood heat. Creek water. No cell service. Bring a book.
Currently booking through guest referrals only. If you're here, someone sent you.
Eleven properties. Each one we've walked, split wood at, and slept in. If it's listed, it works. Filter labels are descriptive, not marketing — "sleeps 2" means two adults, not two adults and a cot for the dog.
Decommissioned 1974. Restored 2013. Windows on all four walls. You climb 42 stairs and you're above everything.
Summer only
Original 1938 homestead. New roof, old everything else. Wood stove. Propane lights. Pit toilet up the hill.
Most booked
Old mining claim shack. Insulated in 2018. One room, one bed, one stove. That's the whole thing.
Under $90/night
Canoe included. Dock needs a coat of stain. Loons at 5 a.m. whether you wanted them or not.
Families
Dark sky site. No light pollution for 30 miles. 10-inch Dobsonian in the closet — we keep it tuned.
Stargazing
Fly water starts 40 feet from the porch. Rod rack by the door. Clean your own fish.
Anglers
Five more properties not shown — Elk Draw, Hemlock Hollow, The Sawbuck, Meadowfoot, and an unnamed trapper's cabin we've been renting as "the trapper's cabin" since 2014. Discussed by name during booking conversations.
You get codes, a map, and a gate combo the day before. Written directions, because your phone won't work.
We don't have a dumpster service. Whatever you bring in, you drive out. Nobody has ever complained about this.
Split at least what you burned. The maul is in the shed. It's not hard, it's just work.
These are quiet places. If that sounds like a limitation, this isn't the directory for you.
Every gate you open, close behind you, whether there's stock in the field or not. Local habit. Don't be the exception.
Eight of eleven cabins are fine with kids. Two have drop-offs we don't want a toddler near. Ask.
